With the discovery of severe structural damage to our parish church building, there was a real sense of panic and stress and worry.

We were greatly relieved when David Strauss made the time to sit with us, the parish administrators, and the members of the parish Maintenance Committee. He took great care in explaining the situation, was patient in guiding us along during the actual structural repair time, and adjusting the work schedule, promised that our structural repairs would be completed for the Christmas holydays. The repairs were, in fact, completed by Christmas and our community was not only completely satisfied but overjoyed!

As the pastor, I was very gratified and relieved by the care and concern expressed by David Strauss. I'm sure he was sensitive to my stress and worry over this project. He made it a point to come regularly and advise us on the progress of the project. He personally oversaw the various sub-contractors and made sure they kept in touch with us and completed their work on time. A project that caused me and others great concern became, in fact, a project that was instructive and educational for us all.
